Loved mathematics and statistics in school. Initially went to financial industry just because the industry was a huge database of numbers.
Instead found out that I just loved playing around with big data and find insights or create something new (like my “Social Issue Index” used by major broadcasting companies in Korea) from data modeling.
I also won an AI competition from the Korean government.
I wish I can make lots of valuable impacts on many societies (such as “optimization of Seoul’s night bus management” in my experience) from data, which is one of the main reasons that motivates me to work overseas.
BOTTOM LINE: I can always create new value from data (although my coding skill sucks).
