Roger currently leads data science and machine learning initiatives at Quadrant, a blockchain-based platform for data verification and mapping. In this role he brings new data science and machine learning opportunities to the company, working with AI partnerships. He is a part of the core development team and is involved in building the Quadrant blockchain, and checking data quality.
Roger began his career in Mu Sigma as a trainee decision scientist. After that he worked for a US-based pharmaceutical client, crunching sales numbers and giving business reports and insights to the executive team. In 2016 he joined DataStreamX, Quadrant’s predecessor. At DataStreamX and Quadrant he has led the following projects:
Led Quadrant Audiences, a data-driven targeting solution designed for marketers, advertisers, and agencies who want to leverage high quality mobile location-based data.
Spearheaded data science pipelines and proposed optimised algorithms to improve data quality.
Built the necessary blockchain apps and smart contracts for Quadrant Consent Management Platform.
Built NLP based AI chatbot that performs data analysis and returns insights based on the query
Developed the smart contract for Quadrant’s token sale.
Built custom payment exchange to facilitate the conversion between QUADs and eQUADs
Roger holds a Master of IT degree in Business Analytics from Singapore Management University.
Roger is a frequent speaker at events in the data community, including a panel briefing hosted by Singapore Business Review. He speaks on topics including which data points are relevant for startups today, what insights data should provide to its users, how to analyse data, and how to use social behaviour to gain a better understanding of one’s customers. He often comments on issues affecting the data space through posts on Linkedin Pulse.
