“Dr. Gao’s expertise is in organic geochemistry, environmental stable isotopes and the application to climate, environment and petroleum systems.
“At PEERI, she conducts/coordinates research and method development in shale oil and shale gas petroleum systems. Specifically, she focuses on the modeling and application of hydrocarbon C and H isotopes and organic markers for shale oil and gas resource assessment. The other major focus of hers is the advanced wellsite geochemistry along with surface logging to identify and keep in the “sweet spot” using a series of unique and advanced geochemistry instruments and methods. “
“Dr. Gao obtained her PhD degree in Geological Sciences at Brown University, with broad and in-depth knowledge of geochemistry, geology, plant science, statistics and modeling.
