My mission is to use data science, causal inference, and qualitative methods to critically analyze and guide change in systems serving the public good. I have over 10 years of experience in conducting research on topics such as bias in algorithmic decision-making, how learners interact online, and modeling salary information. I love working with others and solving problems in support of my colleagues’ work.

I worked on the 2023 Census in Aotearoa New Zealand, applying my Ph.D. in Economics of Education and my skills in quantitative social science and R programming. Some of my favorite projects were analyzing a randomized controlled trial on the effectiveness of a census process, assessing ethical data use, and supporting my teammates on whatever arises.
