Hello! I am Anirban Panja, a recent law graduate from RGSOIPL – IIT Kharagpur, and I hold a master’s degree in biotechnology from VIT University, Vellore. As a result of my academic journey, characterized by a curiosity for both science and law, has driven me to explore fields that integrate these disciplines. As a self-motivated and dedicated student, I have cultivated various interests.
Law school internships in patent, copyright, and commercial litigation gave me practical legal experience. Insolvency and Bankruptcy Law, Competition and Anti-Trust Law, Corporate and Commercial Law, and Litigation and Dispute Resolution were also covered in my internships. This has broadened my legal knowledge and given me a complete picture of law and business. I also enjoy constitutional and criminal law, which allows me to explore legal principles and social issues.
The Vellore Chapter of Uddeshya India kept me involved in social causes. This organisation encourages young people to lead and address critical issues. I worked on public policy, civic rights and duties, HIV/AIDS awareness, substance abuse prevention, electoral integrity, peer pressure, bullying, and child abuse through Uddeshya India. As part of the organisation, I photographed and told powerful stories of change and impact. I used my photos to communicate and inspire. In addition, I helped the Marketing and Public Relations team strategically communicate our mission and goals. This experience improved my communication and teamwork skills.
I’m looking for mentorship from experienced seniors. I am currently based in Kolkata and willing to relocate to Mumbai or Delhi, seeking mentorship in an environment that values growth, innovation, and excellence. I look forward to joining a team where I can make a meaningful and impactful contribution to the legal field while delving into diverse industries, including life sciences, sports, and media. This opportunity would allow me to learn about software, artificial intelligence, pharmaceuticals, genetics, medical devices, and other aspects of healthcare and life sciences that interest me because of their relationship to biotechnology. In addition, I am eager to study the implications of intellectual property and competition law in sports and media, which will help me learn, grow, and make meaningful contributions.
