Isotu has 2 decades of technical and strategic leadership experience in public health and environment, career mentorship, youth enterprise and institutional systems strengthening spanning across governance, industry, academics and humanitarian spheres. He currently leads Public Health and Environment (PHE) Programme of the World Health Organization (WHO) in Nigeria, as a National Consultant.
Dr. Edwin-Isotu Edeh has outstanding technical and strategic leadership success records in coordinating highly impactful public health, environment and related SDG interventions including Climate Change and Health, Water Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), Chemical Hygiene and Safety, Healthy Cities, and One-Health programs; bringing co-benefits of Universal Health Coverage (UHC), healthier population, environmental sustainability, economic prosperity, and building of strong institutions on a multi-sectoral scale.
In 2021, Dr. Edwin-Isotu faciliateted the Signing of Nigeria’s first Health Ministerial Climate Commitment to building a sustainable and Climate-Resilient Health System in Nigeria in line with the Paris Agreement, the United Nations COP26 Health Programme, Nigeria Climate NDC and Nigeria’s Net Zero Plan 2060.
