I focus on backend engineering – more specifically cloud engineering, integration engineering and developer enablement.
I have a special interest in quality engineering where it concerns creating custom tooling, or extending existing tooling to fit specific use cases for adoption in CI.
Prior to transitioning to backend I came from an extensive background in data, where I contracted as a consultant on database development and analytics.
Some notable projects include working on data enrichment and analytics as part of Victorian Department of Health’s COVID-19 response and developing an automated multi-dimensional forecast model for store inventory during my time at MYER.
My preferred functional coding languages are Python and Go, followed by NodeJS and Java – for IaC I prefer Terraform.
