I work at applying decision theory, statistical analysis, and optimization techniques to practical business problems, and especially tackling the engineering problems involved in getting these abstract solutions into working, reliable, efficient, and shipped product.
I am most interested in the interface between engineering, algorithms and analysis, and product development. Doing a good job of all three at the same time is challenging.
I am excited by any problem that involves a combination of technology and engineering, analytics and optimization, policy and strategy.
