I’m a data scientist with more than 10 years of experience in forecasting, reporting, analysis, modelling and programming in order to rapidly produce insights and learnings to quickly solve problems and automate otherwise mind-numbing work. I also have experience leading a small team of data scientists, analysts and developers to complete and deliver data-focused projects.
I mostly dabble in R and SQL, using other tools (like QGIS and Python) when required to process and visualize data in useful ways for decision making and problem solving.
Among the highlights of what I’ve done so far:
– Designed and refined new product offerings, ensuring that the design of the credit policy, fee structure, repayments and loan amounts are aligned with business needs, risk appetite as well as compliance with regulations.
– Models and prototypes for predicting propensity to repay, credit scorecards, categorization of bank statements
– Developed a prototype for recognizing collectible card images for inventory management and valuation; this is also easily adaptable for other purposes, like recognizing logos.
– Drove the construction of business intelligence pipelines; allowing other parts of the company to easily access data and reporting.
– Put framework in place to manage and prioritize work in order to ensure completion and delivery of data projects within the company.
