I am a Computational Linguist. My research and work is mainly focused on text mining and information extraction from unrestricted text. I do statistical natural language processing and rule based pattern analysis for text mining the corpora. I analyze the text and detect interesting and useful features and patterns. These are AI tasks. I like to share this simple definition of AI – AI is the theory and development of computer systems able to perform tasks that normally require human intelligence. This includes cognitive tasks, like planning, reasoning, and learning, and also perceptual tasks, like recognizing speech, understanding text, and recognizing faces.
