Dr. Sayan Putatunda is a distinguished leader in data and applied sciences, with over a decade of industry experience. He currently holds the position of Applied Science Manager at Amazon. Throughout his career, he has held key roles at leading companies such as Walmart, VMware, and others.
Dr. Putatunda earned his PhD in Applied Statistics and Machine Learning from the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA), where his research focused on high-velocity streaming data and its applications in the transportation industry. His scholarly contributions include multiple publications in prestigious international journals, such as Transportation Research Part C: Emerging Technologies and Neural Computing and Applications. He is also a published author with reputable publishers like Apress and Springer. His work has been showcased at leading conferences including KDD, ICMLC, IEEE Connect, and ACM SPML.
As an inventor, Dr. Putatunda holds a granted US patent through VMware, with a few more US patent applications filed via Amazon and Walmart.
