I am a Senior Data Scientist at Nucleix Ltd., a company that develops non-invasive tests for cancer. I am applying my expertise in machine learning, bioinformatics, and cancer genomics to analyze big biomedical data and create impactful solutions for patients.
I have a PhD in Computer Science from Tel Aviv University, where I conducted research on identifying and classifying breast cancer and melanoma subtypes using high-throughput genomic data. I have published several papers in prestigious journals, such as Breast Cancer Research, BMC Bioinformatics, and Oncogene, where I demonstrated the potential of machine learning methods and statistics to improve the diagnosis of cancer patients. I have also received multiple awards and honors for my research and teaching, such as the Best Poster Award at the Israeli Bioinformatics Symposium and the Rector’s Honors Award for teaching.
For over six years, starting during my PhD, I’ve been teaching a course on “Programming for Engineers using Python” at Tel Aviv University. I find immense joy in imparting knowledge and skills to the next generation of engineers and scientists, nurturing their programming abilities and problem-solving skills.
My passion lies at the intersection of Computer Science (with a focus on Big Data & Machine Learning), Biology, and Medicine. This convergence fuels my drive to create tangible solutions that directly impact patients’ lives. Fluent in English and Hebrew, I’m continuously exploring and embracing new technologies and tools to stay at the forefront of innovation.
