Paul is a qualified Mathematics educator. Worked full-time at Thathunyawo High School and as a part-time face-to-face statistics tutor-basic and introductory to statistics at Unisa – Newcastle regional office. He holds a Bachelor of Science Honours degree in Statistics, Bachelor of Science in Mathematical and statistical sciences, both obtained from the University of South Africa, A secondary teachers Diploma in Mathematics and Physical education and he has also successfully completed a PGCE in Mathematics education at Wits University (Mathematics FET, SP, and SASL). He is currently a full-time mathematics teacher at Ladysmith High School in Kwa-Zulu Natal. Paul is an independent thinker who is extremely motivated and, a knowledgeable Mathematics educator who has gained experience working in the education sector since 2009.
Coupled with his strength in statistics, Paul has a passion and interest in learning new skills for Data Analysis, and he has successfully completed certification in Python and R programming languages, Machining Learning, and Hadoop for Big Data from Simplilearn.com. Through his studies at Simplilearn, he has also gained confidence in the use of Mathematics software such as Geogebra, Desmos, EquatIO, etc. to enhance the teaching of mathematics.
Paul is currently pursuing a Master of Science degree in Data Science at the University of Kwa-Zulu Nata – South Africa. He is registered for the modules listed below and he is actively in search of an entry-level role in the field of Data Science or Analysis to be able to work remotely.
