Miguel Angel Veganzones received the Ms.C. and Ph.D. degrees in Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence from the Basque Country University (EHU/UPV), Donostia-San Sebastian, Spain, in 2008 and 2012, respectively.
In October 2012, he joined the Images-Signal Department, GIPSA-Lab, Grenoble, France, as a Postdoctoral Researcher. His research interests include the analysis of hyperspectral images by means of multiway analysis, computational intelligence, and statistical techniques. His research has diverse applications in Remote Sensing, Earth Observation, Planetology and other domains.
In June 2016, he joined NEM Solutions as Data Analysis Manager and since May 2018 he worked as Artificial Intelligence Director in Sherpa.ai. From May 2021 on, he has been appointed as VP of Data in Lookiero. His responsibilities involve the definition and implementation of data-driven strategies for product and services development as well as for business-oriented decision making.
Dr. Veganzones is member of the IEEE Geoscience and Remote Sensing Society, the IEEE Computational Intelligence Society, the IEEE Signal Processing Society, the CNRS GDR 720 ISIS (Information, Signal, Image et ViSion) and the CNRS GDR 3708 MADICS (Masses de Données, Informations et Connaissances en Sciences).
He is a regular Reviewer of international peer-reviewed scientific journals and has participated as a Program Committee Member and as a Scientific Referee in several international conferences.
