As a Senior Manager at KPMG UK, I’ve established, and am leading, a team that develops and implements data mining capabilities for our audit workflow, as well as provides SME support for the creation of data science tools for audit. With five years of experience in audit and data analytics, I have acquired a unique combination of skills and credentials that enable me to deliver high-quality and innovative solutions for our audit teams and leadership.
I am a Chartered Accountant (South Africa) and a Data Scientist, having completed my Master’s in Applied Data Science for Business in 2022. I am also passionate about research, training, and education in the fields of data and analytics, and I have been involved in various projects and initiatives that demonstrate my expertise and contribution. For example, before taking on my role in Data Mining, I was the UK Topic Lead for Sampling, the Banking Support Workstream, and the Audit Helpline Technical Query Management. I was also an SME in Data Analytics Methodology and Estimates, and I have been responsible for the creation of ISQM 1 processes and implementation of controls for those processes regarding audit consultations, data mining and quality checks in the UK firm. Additionally, I have received multiple awards and honours for my exceptional service and performance relating to Audit Quality and Culture.
