Carrie Cook

I’ve never met a number I didn’t like. Whether I’m analyzing seismic data for oil and gas exploration or helping my nephew on a calculus problem, I was born to engage in the complexity and beauty of math. As a dynamic and creative seismic data analyst with over extensive experience facilitating the discovery of multi-million dollar oil reservoirs. My passion for finding order in chaos and finding answers through numbers led me to pursue additional training in data analytics/data science. Thanks to a bachelor’s degree in Applied Mathematics and a certificate in Data Analysis/Data Science from Denver University, I not only have the passion but I have the education and skills to do the work.

As a seismic data analyst, I have worked in Mexico, Italy, as well as the United States. I have worked in a variety of environments from driving snowcats across the frozen arctic ocean to working in an office in Mexico. I have managed projects involving clients and data from Nigeria to Argentina to Alaska. This experience has led me to be an adaptable and supportive team leader, with skills to professionally manage multiple, complex projects and provide clients (or my nephew) with exceptional results.
