I’m Charlene, and I consider myself a would-be talk show host! Talk show hosts have the ability to connect with their guests, make them comfortable with telling me about themselves and even sometimes answering uncomfortable questions. That takes skill and talent – and as a recruiter, I consider myself a version of a talk show host.
Recruiting allows me to ask questions of my Hiring Managers during intake meetings to understand their needs and then devise and execute a recruiting strategy. On the flip side, I get to understand my candidates and ask the questions as to what is important to them in their next opportunity – I am a privileged participant in my candidate’s career journey!
