I want to create scientific innovations that positively shape the productivity of industries and quality of human life. Math and computer science are my passions as well as my chisel and hammer, and I believe that the most transformative technology of our era will be artificial intelligence. I have extensive experience in this field and take pleasure that my novel algorithms and approaches are contributing to the creation of safer autonomous vehicles and to the fast-tracking of oncology drug discovery, both of which have the potential to save and enhance the quality of life for countless people.
The essence of innovation is to clarify the simple from the complex, and I believe it is this thinking which has led to my success. For example, when studying the genes for predicting cancer diagnosis and classification in my PhD research, I used the tools of machine learning and computer modeling to segment in a novel way the 25,000 unique genes in the human genome to only the 11 significant genes that can be accurate predictors.
