I am a Cloud Architect at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL), where I leverage my 20+ years of experience in data science, machine learning, and cloud computing to design and implement data-driven solutions for business and scientific challenges across academia, commercial, and public sectors. My mission is to enable and accelerate scientific discovery and innovation through the use of cutting-edge technologies and methodologies.
My areas of expertise include data strategy, architecture, and engineering; AI/ML algorithms, operationalization, and strategy; cloud strategy, products, and services; and applied sciences such as bioinformatics, proteomics, and materials science. I have a PhD in Computer Science from UC Irvine, where I published several papers in genomics, bioinformatics, and machine learning. I also hold multiple patents on network security, content delivery, and bot detection. I have multiple certifications from AWS, including Data Analytics Specialty, Machine Learning Specialty, and Solutions Architect Professional. I have designed and supported ML-enabled products and platforms for various industries including AWS SageMaker RStudio and Azure Quantum Elements.
