As the Director of Artificial Intelligence at Mayo Clinic, I lead a team of talented researchers and engineers who develop and deploy cutting-edge AI models to screen and predict cardiovascular diseases. With over six years of experience in machine learning and signal processing in healthcare, I have designed and implemented studies and data pipelines that involve millions of patients and multiple modalities, such as ECG, echocardiography, patient notes, and other databases.

My mission is to leverage AI and data science to improve patient care and outcomes, and to advance the field of cardiology. I am also a Consultant and an Assistant Professor at Mayo Clinic, where I share my expertise and insights with clinicians and students. I am a member of the GenAI advisory committee, and a co-author of several publications in prestigious journals. I hold a PhD in Bioinformatics and Computational Biology from the University of Minnesota, and I am currently pursuing an Executive MBA from MIT. I am skilled in Python, Matlab, C++, and machine learning libraries, such as Tensorflow and Keras.
