Lisandro Bril

Lisandro is an experienced entrepreneur and venture capitalist with a strong background in Innovation and now committed to Deep Techs (AI, Robotics, Cyber, Quantum) applied to Disrupt Climate Agri Food Techs global value chains. He is the Founder and General Partner of Oikos Fund LP, which focuses on implementing a Cross Border Approach to BioEconomy startups . Oikos connects Latin America with the capital of GCC Countries and deploys global market “table to the farm” solutions.

He started his career as an angel investor in the 90s, investing in companies like Graphical Information (Exit to Oracle ) and Amtec (Exited to Neoris) . He was the CEO of BGS & i5/Hicks Fund Latin America. Joined AltaVentures Mexico in 2017 , Lisandro has a strong track record of successful investments and exits. Lisandro has been actively involved in the entrepreneurial ecosystem and impact investing. He co-founded Endeavor Argentina, the first Endeavor organization in the world that promotes high-impact entrepreneurs. He has also served as a judge at prestigious business plan competitions such as the Annual Harvard Business School Business Plan Competition and the MIT Latin America 50K.

Lisandro has contributed to the development of the venture capital industry in Argentina and Latin America. He is a co-founder of ARCAP (Argentine Private Equity, Venture, and Seed Capital Association) and an active member of the Uruguay Venture Capital Association (URUCAP). In 2023, he became the first Latin American member of the Middle East Venture Capital Association (MEVCA).

Before his venture capital career, Lisandro founded Booz Allen Hamilton in Argentina and served as its Managing Director. He also worked as a partner at Spencer Stuart and Korn/Ferry International, leading management consulting and executive search firms.

Lisandro has a strong civic and government background. He served as the Undersecretary of Foreign Trade of Argentina from 1985 to 1988 and has been involved in various non-partisan citizen networks and NGOs focused on social and economic development.

He holds a BA in Economics (Summa Cum Laude) from the University of Buenos Aires and an MPA from Harvard John F. Kennedy School of Government, with a major in Government Policies & Business. Lisandro is a multifaceted individual with diverse interests, including photography and transmedia story telling productions. He has recently established his home in Patagonia and Montevideo.
